Thirty-six people believed to be involved in a North Little Rock drug ring have been charged with 77 drugs and weapons charges, U.S. Attorney Christopher Thyer announced on Thursday.
Twenty-six of those people were arraigned on charges on Thursday, six more will be arraigned March 24 and four people have not yet been arrested, Thyer said in a news release.
Those charged include Gregory Barns, Jesse Berry, Joshua Boozy, Linnie Boozy, John Boyce, Justin Cobb, Billy Crews, Joshua Dickerson, Michael Glover, Chris Grady, David Grady, Heather Grady, Alton Elijah Givens, Misty Hoggard, Lindsey Hosford, Kaylen Johnson, Kallie Shea Lewis, Moneque Lewis, Marc Massa, Marissa McCullough, Brent McNair, Curtis McNair, Dustin Murphy, Tonya Nelson, Michael Sean Nicholson, Michael Ryan Polito, Christy Ramsey, Jason Riley, Amy Scarborough, Scott Shrum, Cassondra Spears, Ronald Heath Swaim, Amanda Thomson, Aaron Williams, Joe Willis and Michele Zomaya.
Authorities are still searching for Berry, Heather Grady, Zomaya and Crews, the release states.
Almost all of the people who have been charged in the case are central Arkansas residents, according to the release.
All of those involved have been charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, multiple counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and multiple gun charges, Thyer said.
If convicted, the charges carry penalties ranging from five years to life in prison and fines up to $10 million, the release states.
An investigation that started in January 2014 used undercover officers to make 16 controlled purchases of methamphetamine and seize nearly two pounds of the drug, Thyer said.
The organization selling drugs was headed in Arkansas by Glover and in Arizona by Polito, the release states.
Police said they believe there were several trips made from North Little Rock to Arizona to obtain bulk quantities of methamphetamine that were brought back to central Arkansas for distribution, Thyer said.
