Too wet at I-30 for Outlaws

Extremely wet conditions caused by rain this week and the snow thaw from the previous week have forced the cancellation of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series event scheduled for Saturday night at Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway.

With the track and areas surrounding the facility saturated, and more rain forecast for later in the week, I-30 promoter Tracey Clay chose to cancel the event.

“I want to thank Tracey and her father, Joe, for their efforts to host this race,” series director Tim Christman said in a release. “They’ve always done everything possible to get our races in. Unfortunately, the harsh weather this winter has made it impossible for the track to host a major event this weekend.”

As a result, I-30’s 54th season is now scheduled to open March 28 with the sprint car, IMCA modified, super stock, mini-sprint and mod-lite divisions.
