Former Razorback arrested on prostitution, trafficking charges

A former Arkansas Razorback basketball player was arrested on prostitution, human trafficking and sexual assault charges on Sunday, police say.

Fayetteville police responded on March 22 to Washington Regional Medical Center after receiving a report that a 14-year-old girl had been raped. The girl told police that a pimp known as “Allstar” had gotten her into prostitution, and that she was raped multiple times between March 20 and 22, according to a Fayetteville Police Department report.

Police determined “Allstar” to be 26-year-old Jason Henry after matching “Allstar’s” Facebook photos and phone number to Henry’s.

The girl told police the weekend the assaults occurred she was at 26-year-old Jessica Hoskins’ apartment, where she was was introduced to Henry and was allowed to use alcohol and marijuana, the report states.

Police located a video that showed the underage girl being sexually assaulted.

Hoskins told police that the girl was at her house on March 21 and she witnessed her having sex with a man who she said she knew was over 18 years old. She also told police she was aware the victim was under 18 years old.

The girl told officers she exchanged sexual acts for money, and that she was supposed to give Henry half of what she made. The girl told police that she met someone for sex in a parking lot on Dickson Street in Fayetteville and had sex with two men at an unknown location in Fayetteville. After having sex with the two men Henry picked her up, the report states.

Police say text messages show Henry had “groomed the victim into being a prostitute,” by lining out how much money to charge for sex acts.

Henry was arrested Sunday at a Conway motel, where he told police he had consensual sex with the girl.

He was transported to the Washington County jail and was charged with one count of human trafficking, one count of second-degree prostitution and one count of first-degree sexual assault. He is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.
