Scholarship Fund Luncheon

BENTON — The 14th annual Luncheon on the Courthouse Lawn to support the Saline County Single Parent Scholarship Fund will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 14 at the Saline County Courthouse, 200 N. Main St. Elected officials will be on hand to greet the public. Lunch will include hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, chips, dessert and a drink. Downtown Crawfest Crawfish Boil and Crawl

ARKADELPHIA — The fourth annual Downtown Crawfest Crawfish Boil will be held May 15 and 16. Crawfish and fixings will be served beginning at 5 p.m. May 15 in the parking lot at 617 Clinton St. downtown, and a crawfish-eating contest will be held at 6:15. The Redd Tape Band and 80HD The Band will play throughout the evening. There will be also be a kids’ zone. On May 16, the Crawfish Crawl 5K and 10K will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Clinton Street, along with the Southern Bancorp Andy Allison Kids Run at 10:30 on Clay Street. Downtown merchants will have sidewalk sales from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids’ activities will include the Cajun Classic Dog Show and the Critter Crawl Pet Parade.
