A routine bridge inspection will require lane closures this week on Interstate 540 between Fort Smith and Van Buren, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
Crews inspecting the I-540 bridge over the Arkansas River will require closing the outside lanes on the bridge over four days.
The southbound outside lane closure will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and the northbound outside lane closure will occur during the same hours Wednesday and Thursday, all weather permitting.
