A child who suffered critical injuries in a Friday shooting at his home in Redfield has died, authorities said.

Pulaski County Coroner Gerone Hobbs said the 5 year-old boy died hours after being shot.

Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler said in a statement that the shooting "involves a sibling who is believed to have shot the victim."

It happened at a residence in the 1100 block of Huck Finn Blvd.

Police didn't release the names or ages of either child. Preliminary scanner information indicated the child who was shot was 4 years old and may have been hit in the head.
