NLR man accused of raping a minor

A North Little Rock man was arrested Sunday over accusations he raped a female relative, according to a police report.

Police arrested 47-year-old Eugene Slater Jr. about 2 p.m. at 5636 Sonora Drive in North Little Rock. According to an arrest report, Slater admitted to performing a sex act on a minor.

Slater was booked into Pulaski County jail on a charge of rape. He remained on the jail's roster late Sunday. His bail had not been set.

2 held in burglary at Cabot firehouse

Two people were arrested Sunday in the late-night burglary of a Cabot fire station, the Pulaski County sheriff's office reported.

The fire station at 3603 Roderweis Road in Cabot was burglarized late Saturday or early Sunday, a police report states. The sheriff's office did not disclose what had been stolen.

Deputies developed suspects and started a search for Christina Blackall, 28, and John Idom, 37, both of North Little Rock.

They found and arrested Blackall, who told authorities that Idom was responsible for breaking into the station. Idom was located 10 hours later on Centennial Road in Cabot.

Both Blackall and Idom were booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of commercial burglary. They each also had warrants for their arrests on charges of failure to pay a fine and failure to comply, as well as three counts of failure to appear.

They both remained on the jail's roster late Sunday. Blackall had a hold placed on her custody.

LR man arrested in phone-store thefts

Police arrested a man Friday in the back-to-back burglaries of a Little Rock store in January, according to an arrest report.

The report states 21-year-old Brian Clayborn of Little Rock is accused of breaking into Boost Mobile, 3010 S. University Ave., on Jan. 24 and 26. Clayborn is accused of stealing a phone and phone accessories in both instances.

Clayborn was arrested on a warrant about 10 a.m. Friday and booked into Pulaski County jail on two counts of theft of property and two counts of commercial burglary.

Clayborn remained on the jail's roster late Sunday. His bail was set at $15,000.
