Fort Smith bank changes owners

All Benefit Bank locations in Fort Smith will officially become Armstrong Bank on Tuesday. There will be a sign unveiling and a check presentation at 10 a.m. at the 8300 Phoenix Ave. branch.

Ironhorse Financial Group, the parent company of Armstrong Bank in Muskogee, Okla., acquired Benefit Bank. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Armstrong Bank has assets totaling $652.7 million and has 17 locations in northern and eastern Oklahoma. Benefit Bank has assets totaling $187.4 million and four locations in Fort Smith.

CARF accredits Ozark Guidance

CARF International recently announced that Ozark Guidance has been accredited for a period of three years for the following areas of service:

• Community integration: mental health (adults)

• Crisis intervention: mental health (adults)

• Diversion: integrated: AOD/MH (adults)

• Outpatient treatment integrated: AOD/MH (adults)

• Day treatment: mental health (children and adolescents)

• Out-of-home treatment: mental health (children and adolescents)

• Outpatient treatment: mental health (children and adolescents)

This is the first accreditation that CARF has awarded to Ozark Guidance.

Ozark Guidance is a nonprofit organization with offices in Springdale, Fayetteville, Bentonville, Berryville, Siloam Springs, Rogers and Huntsville. It has been providing mental health services in Northwest Arkansas area since 1970. In addition to the CARF accreditation, Ozark Guidance has been accredited by the Joint Commission for nearly 20 years.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
