Police have obtained a capital murder warrant for the arrest of Tonisha Mitchell, 21, in the slaying of Nelson McCullough, 28, said Jonesboro Police Department spokesman Paul Holmes.

Nelson was fatally shot inside his home Monday afternoon after witnesses said two people went to his home and were admitted inside. They reportedly fled in a vehicle after McCullough was shot.

Detectives Vic Brooks and Jason Simpkins obtained the warrant for Mitchell's arrest after talking with witnesses, and they expect to make more arrests, Holmes said.

It was the second fatal shooting in Jonesboro in two days.

Officers responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of Curtview Drive on Saturday morning and found the body of Brian Kyle Gipson, 29, lying in the roadway.

Police said the two shootings do not appear to be related.
