Ordinances expanding Pulaski County's nondiscrimination ordinance and changing the way committee members are selected will go into effect once the county judge signs them into law and 30 days after being published in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Articles in Wednesday's edition incorrectly stated when the law would go into effect.

An ordinance being considered by the Pulaski County Quorum Court would establish justice of the peace pay at $481.25 per meeting for agenda and full meetings and $150 per meeting for budget committee meetings, which is the level at which 12 of the 15 justices of the peace are currently paid. Three justices of the peace declined raises when they were approved last year and currently make $462.75 per meeting. An article in Wednesday's edition incorrectly described the pay levels in the ordinance.
