Authorities arrested Ladarius Lee, 18, at a residence on Race Street in south Jonesboro about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. An hour later, Tonisha Mitchell, 21, of Jonesboro, surrendered to police at the Craighead County jail in Jonesboro after detectives obtained a capital murder warrant for her arrest Tuesday.

Both face charges in the fatal shooting of Nelson McCullough, 28, on Monday afternoon.

Witnesses said two people went to McCullough's home on West Monroe Street and were admitted inside. Holmes said it was apparent that McCullough knew the pair.

Lee and Mitchell will be formally charged in Craighead County District court this afternoon.

It was the second fatal shooting in Jonesboro in two days. Officers responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of Curtview Drive on Saturday morning and found the body of Brian Kyle Gipson, 29, lying in the roadway. Officers have not arrested anyone in Gipson's slaying.

Holmes said the two shootings do not appear to be related.
