PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- Trey Green completed 21 of 28 passed for 261 yards and had a career-high 5 touchdowns as Prairie View A&M (5-2, 5-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) overcame an early deficit to rout Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-7, 0-6).
UAPB jumped out to a 14-0 lead when Brandon Duncan threw a 5-yard scoring pass to John Hawkins and Daunte McDonald ran for a 1-yard score.
Prairie View got on the board when wide receiver Christian Rousseau completed an 8-yard scoring pass to John Allen on a fourth-and-4 play. Later, Green threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Demarquo Lastrappe to tie it at 14 before halftime.
Prairie View broke open the game by scoring 26 consecutive points after halftime. Green had scoring runs of 1 and 25 yards.
Duncan finished with 308 yards passing, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception for UAPB (1-7, 0-6). Hawkins caught three passes for 101 yards.
The Golden Lions have three SWAC games remaining. They have not gone winless in conference play since 1997.
