Boyfriend sought in hammer attack

Little Rock police were seeking a man accused of attacking his girlfriend with a hammer and drill Friday.

Officers were called about 9:08 a.m. to the 8200 block of West 32nd Street, where a woman had reportedly been standing in the street and screaming for help. The woman, whom police identified as Torrie Davis, 39, told officers she'd argued with her boyfriend after he returned home from a night out, according to a police report.

The man reportedly struck Davis with a hammer and drill, then fled in a white Lincoln Town Car. Davis was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock for treatment. Police said her injuries were not life-threatening.

Police knew the boyfriend's name and last known address, according to the report.

No arrests had been Monday.
