Little Rock police investigate bank robbery involving man dressed as woman

One person is in custody and another is sought in connection with a bank robbery that occurred about 12:53 p.m. Tuesday, Little Rock police said.

Detectives were on the scene of Iberia Bank in the 4900 block of West Markham Street as of about 1:45 p.m. interviewing and processing, according to authorities.

Little Rock Police Department officer Richard Hilgeman said a man dressed as a woman entered the bank, jumped the counter, showed a weapon and left with an undisclosed amount of money. Information regarding the type of weapon was not immediately available.

Another man described by police as the driver in the crime fled the scene in a red car, he said.

The man in custody has not been identified by police as of Tuesday afternoon.

No one was injured during the robbery, Hilgeman said.
