A Rector man was killed shortly after noon Friday when his SUV was hit by a train in Clay County, Arkansas State Police reported.
Hershel Horner, 76, was driving a 2015 Kia Sorento on a private driveway when he crossed into the path of a southbound train near Interstate 49 and Highway 505 at 12:18 p.m., according to the state police report.
At the time of the crash, the weather was clear and roads were dry.
