Police name suspect in Bentonville bank robbery

The man suspected of robbing a Bentonville bank in August was passing through the area when the crime occurred, according to police.

Kenneth Wayne Fisher Jr. is the suspect in the robbery, according to information released Thursday by the Bentonville Police Department.

An Arkansas warrant has been issued for Fisher's arrest. He has ties to Alabama and Colorado, may be traveling with a woman and may be driving an early 2000s Toyota Avalon, according to Bentonville police.

Police were called at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 28 to the 2501 E. Central Ave. branch of First Security Bank after report of a robbery. Police at the time said the robber fled on foot and described him as a heavy white man in his mid to late 30s and about 5 feet, 9 inches tall with facial hair and dark framed glasses.
