Robbed, run over, store worker says

Little Rock police were investigating after a man said he was robbed outside of his workplace and then was struck by the car in which the thief fled Wednesday.

Officers were called about 1:20 p.m. to Drug Emporium at 9112 N. Rodney Parham Road. Employee James Richardson, 64, said a man approached him outside the business and began grabbing at him, according to a police report. A struggle ensued, and Richardson fell to the ground.

The thief took an unknown amount of money from Richardson and ran to a gray Ford Crown Victoria, the report states. Richardson said he ran in front of the vehicle to stop it, but it struck him and continued onto Rodney Parham Road.

Police said Richardson suffered minor injuries. He declined medical treatment at the scene.

Officers searched the area but made no arrests.

The robber was described only as black.
