BRISTOW, Okla. — Authorities have arrested a Bristow man for allegedly stealing cattle in Oklahoma and selling the animals at an auction in Arkansas.
The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association said 51-year-old Jimmy Lee Manley faces two counts of larceny of domestic animals and one count of burglary.
Manley is being held in the Tulsa County jail. Court records do not list an attorney for him.
Special Ranger Bart Perrier said in a news release that Manley stole seven head of cattle in July from a rancher near Broken Arrow and stole five head in August from a rancher near Collinsville. Perrier said Manley also stole trailers to haul the cattle to the Fort Smith Livestock Auction in Arkansas, where he sold the animals for a total of nearly $17,000.
