Collins' 5 TDs lead Hogs to Homecoming blowout

— Alex Collins rushed for five touchdowns and Arkansas beat Tennessee-Martin 63-28 Saturday at Razorback Stadium.

Collins rushed 16 times for 173 yards, eclipsing the 100-yard mark in a game for the sixth time this season.

The junior moved into fourth place for career rushing yards and fifth place for career rushing touchdowns at Arkansas.

Collins had touchdown runs of 2, 6 and 5 yards to give the Razorbacks a 21-0 lead by early in the second quarter.

Brandon Allen threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Damon Mitchell and Collins added a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to help Arkansas to a 35-14 halftime lead.

UT Martin pulled within 35-21 after an 86-yard drive to open the second half, capped by a 1-yard Trent Garland touchdown run.

Arkansas (4-4) responded with a 71-yard touchdown pass from Allen to Dominique Reed and a 3-yard touchdown run by Allen. The quarterback won the Crip Hall Award as the most outstanding senior on Homecoming.

Allen completed 14 of 19 passes for 265 yards and moved into fourth place for career passing yards at Arkansas.

Collins' fifth touchdown - a 63-yard run in the final minute of the third quarter - extended the Razorbacks' lead to 56-21. He finished one shy of Madre Hill's school record of six rushing touchdowns in a game.

Austin Allen threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Sprinkle early in the fourth quarter to push the lead to 63-21.

UT Martin added a fourth touchdown on a 12-yard pass from Jared Neal to Ben Axline with 2:42 remaining.

Neal completed 30 of 43 passes for 380 yards. He also had a 21-yard run.

Caylon Weathers was Neal's top receiver with six catches for 111 yards.

The Razorbacks forced three turnovers, but struggled defensively against the Skyhawks, a member of the NCAA's Football Championship Subdivision. UT Martin finished with 519 yards of total offense, the most the Razorbacks had given up in a game since the season opener last year at Auburn.

The Skyhawks (5-3) lost for the second time this season to an SEC team. UT Martin lost 76-3 at Ole Miss in September.

Arkansas won a game against an FCS opponent for the 11th consecutive season.

The Razorbacks are scheduled to play at No. 19 Ole Miss next Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
