Bentonville Planning Commission OKs subdivision

BENTONVILLE -- The Planning Commission approved a plat for a 34-lot subdivision in the southwest part of the city.

The commission approved the plat for Arbor Lane II Phase I 7-0 at its meeting Tuesday.

The subdivision will be built on four acres on Southwest Juniper Avenue, just south of Southwest Regional Airport Boulevard and west of Southwest Buckeye Street.

Twenty five of the 34 lots are single family residential and are buildable, according to the planners' staff report. Eight lots will make up the required stormwater detention and common area and one will allow for a future phase of the subdivision to be developed.

The average lot size will be 38 feet wide by 100 feet deep, according to the report. Phase I will also include construction of a portion of Southwest Juniper Avenue and Southwest Peachwood Drive.

The commission also approved a 6,300 square-foot airplane hanger at 2410 S.W. Aviation St.

Access to the site will be from a single curb cut along Southwest Aviation Street, according to the planners' staff report. The plans also include construction of a sidewalk along Southwest Aviation Street and the installation of street trees.

The third item the commission approved was a development plan for My Village Dentistry addition at 1909 E. Central Ave.

The site of the two-story, 4,030 square-foot building will include 45 parking spaces. An interactive garden area will in the northeast corner and include a water feature, pavilion and a train caboose, according to the planners' staff report.

The building's exterior will be made of fiber cement siding, brick and stone wainscoting, aluminum windows and a metal roof.
