NEWPORT — Authorities say a man's body was found in a wooded area off State Highway 14 south of Newport.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, police received a call around 6 p.m. Monday about the discovery of a body.
The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to have the cause of death and identity determined.
