BEEBE — The Arkansas State University-Beebe Art Department will display the artwork of Nancy Dunaway through Monday in the England Center Art Gallery at ASU-Beebe. OktoberFest in Fairfield Bay
FAIRFIELD BAY — OktoberFest, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 11 a.m. Oct. 9 and run until 10 p.m. that day, with local arts and crafts offered for sale until 6 p.m. German food, music and dance will round out the first day’s events. On Oct. 10, the festival will open at 9 a.m. and will feature Thunder in the Bay, a motorcycle rally sponsored by the Fairfield Bay Chamber of Commerce, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; a Volkswagen Show and Shine until 5 p.m.; and an OktoberFest celebration and dance, with an oom-pah-pah band playing from 7-10 p.m. The city’s sixth annual StoryFest, suitable for all ages, will also be held Oct. 10 and feature Sean Buvala and Minton Sparks. Morning storyteller sessions will begin at 9:30, and afternoon sessions at 1:30. All performances will be at the Fairfield Bay Conference and Visitor Center.
