Police: Masked shooter injures 1 on LR porch, still at large

The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured Wednesday outside of a residence in the 4100 block of West 13th Street, authorities said.

Little Rock police said on Twitter just before 11:40 a.m. that officers and detectives were en route to a shooting at 4121 W. 13th St., which is between Lewis and Elm streets.

The victim, a minor whose name and age have not been released, was transported to a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the ankle after being shot on the front porch of the residence, Little Rock police spokesman Lt. Steven McClanahan said.

According to police, the victim is expected to make a full recovery.

Authorities said multiple shots were fired in the area, and several officers and detectives were on the scene Wednesday afternoon gathering evidence.

The shooter, who was wearing a mask, remains at large, McClanahan said. No further descriptions of the individual were available Wednesday afternoon.
