Employee reported to admit to stealing

A Little Rock man was arrested early Friday after he admitted stealing more than $3,000 worth of merchandise from his employer, police said.

According to a police report, Dahedrick Sheard, of 3108 Carter St., was caught on video taking items from his employer, the Home Depot store at 11 Mabelvale Plaza Lane. After being questioned by staff members at the store, Sheard admitted to multiple thefts and gave a written statement, the report said.

He was arrested and charged with felony theft of property. Bail was set at $1,000. Sheard was not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster late Friday.

After mail swiped, NLR man arrested

Pulaski County sheriff's deputies arrested a man Friday afternoon after the man reportedly admitted to stealing from several mailboxes, a police report said.

Homeowner Larry Lowe of 6901 Wilcox Road in Scott called the sheriff's office after he saw a man take mail from his box, the report said. Lowe pursued the man's vehicle, a white Mitsubishi Galant, until he lost it in North Little Rock.

Lowe later called the North Little Rock Police Department and said the vehicle was parked at 4311 E. Broadway.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Christopher Pollard, 33, of 4610 Boyer St. in North Little Rock, who admitted to the thefts, the report said. Lowe's monthly AT&T statement was found in Pollard's vehicle, the report said.

Pollard was charged with theft by receiving, and bail was set at $1,000. He was being held in the Pulaski County jail Friday.
