Wednesday recruiting tidbits: Top prospect to visit Hogs soon

One of the nation's top tight end prospects plans to visit Arkansas soon.

Tight end Kedrick James, 6-6, 247, 4.81, of Waco (Texas) La Vega is expected to visit the Hogs April 16. He has scholarship offers from schools like Arkansas, Michigan, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Illinois, Miami and others. He's committed to Baylor. Shreveport Evangel receiver Johnathan Jones, 6-2, 185 plans to visit the Hogs on Saturday. He's been talking to receivers coach Michael Smith and believes an offer could be coming. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Highly recruited running back Chase Hayden, 5-11, 185 of Collierville, (Tenn.) St. George's said he plans to visit Arkansas in the next two weeks. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Linebacker Thomas Johnston, 6-2, 220, 4.78 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Spanish Fort, Alabama said Arkansas is recruiting him hard and he plans to visit Fayetteville soon.

Arkansas receiver signee Jordan Jones of Smackover placed first in the 100 meters with a time of 10.94 seconds last week. He recorded a time of 22.3 seconds to place third in the 200 meters.

Arkansas fullback signee Hayden Johnson of Columbia, (Mo.) Rock Bridge will attend practice on Saturday.

Fayetteville quarterback Taylor Powell will visit Missouri Thursday.
