A Maumelle man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to producing child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Christopher Thyer.

In a news release, Thyer said Seth Christian Ganahl, 43, was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release.

Ganahl, who used the name Christian Canon while in business at Little Rock Models, entered a guilty plea Tuesday on one count of production of child pornography after he enticed minors to send explicit photos and videos.

He admitted to asking a minor to send him a nude photo via Skype, stipulating that she include his name and the date to prove she was not with law enforcement, according to the news release.

Additional requests were made by Ganahl for the girl to send photos and videos of sexually explicit activities, including conducting a photo shoot at his home. She was paid at least $900 for the images, Thyer said.

Ganahl was arrested Aug. 27, 2014, after a minor told her mother and the Maumelle Police Department that she had been asked to engage in sexual activity on multiple occasions, according to the news release.

Another minor later told authorities that she had been asked to engage in similar activity.

Ganahl was indicted Feb. 4, 2015, by a federal grand jury on two counts of attempted enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, one count of enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, one count of transportation of a minor with the intent to engage in sexual activity, one count of attempted production of child pornography and two counts of production of child pornography.
