Woman pleads guilty in Arkansas couple's deaths

MOUNTAIN HOME — A woman has pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and theft of property in connection to the death of a Midway couple.

Seventy-five-year-old Donald and 71-year-old Ladonna Rice were found dead last year in their burned home.

The Baxter Bulletin reported that Mikayla Mynk entered her plea Tuesday as part of an agreement. A capital murder charge, two counts of arson and a second count of theft of property were dropped.

Mynk was sentenced to 35 years in prison, with 15 years suspended, for the robbery charge. She was also sentenced to 20 years in prison for the theft charge. Both sentences will run concurrently.
