A wreck involving a motorcycle left its rider dead Thursday afternoon in Polk County.
Merion Morris, 52, of Mena was driving his Honda motorcycle north on U.S. 71 in Mena when he hit a westbound Lexus at 2:30 p.m., state police said. The crash report said the collision occurred in the northbound lane.

Police listed the conditions as clear and dry at the time of the wreck. Merion's was the 322nd death of 2016 on state roads, according to preliminary data.
