A former KARK news anchor will return for a weeklong stint as morning co-anchor next week, the station said Friday.

Jancey Sheats, who has previously co-anchored morning and evening newscasts for KARK, will be on air Monday through Friday mornings.

The station is using different fill-in anchors on the KARK 4 Today morning show this month while anchor Aaron Nolan reports from the Olympics in Rio.

Former KARK anchor Matt Mosler, former THV anchor Liz Massey and former KATV anchor Christina Munoz Madsen each have anchored a week's worth of broadcasts during Nolan's absence.

After leaving KARK, Sheats worked in communications for Sen. Tom Cotton. A spokesman for Cotton said Friday that she no longer works for him.
