Holiday Ball

Royalty makes grand entry into NLR Junior Cotillion

The North Little Rock Junior Cotillion program held its annual Holiday Ball on Dec. 3 at the Greens at North Hills in Sherwood. Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade children voted on a king and queen for their classes who they believe best represent the ideals taught in the junior cotillion program. The winners were revealed at the ball, and the kings and queens led the Grand March to begin the evening.

Some 200 students from North Little Rock and greater Pulaski County participate in the annual program directed by Alecia Hamilton.

Those named king and queen were eighth-graders David Atkinson, son of Kathy Atkinson and Tim Atkinson, and Betsy Ponder, daughter of Jill and Grant Ponder; seventh-graders Pierce Britton, son of Tonya and Keith Britton, and Olivia Stuckey, daughter of Mandy and Moe Stuckey; and sixth-graders Wesley Bird, son of Julie and Billy Bird, and Lydia Brooks, daughter of Jennifer and Bo Brooks.
