Memphis boy, 12, charged with fatally stabbing brother, 15

MEMPHIS — Police say a 12-year-old boy has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of his 15-year-old brother.

Memphis police spokesman Louis Brownlee said Tuesday that the boys' mother flagged down officers Sunday and said her son had been stabbed and was inside her car.

Officers and paramedics tried to help, but the 15-year-old boy died. Investigators said the 12-year-old boy stabbed his older brother during a fight at a house.

The younger boy has been charged with aggravated assault-domestic violence that resulted in death. The boy who was charged was not identified by police. The Associated Press does not identify youths who have been charged with crimes as juveniles.
