LR Central’s run puts game away

The Little Rock Central girls (21-1, 9-1 7A-6A East) started the second half with a 24-0 run to defeat Mountain Home (14-10, 5-5) 51-28 on Friday at The Hangar.

Central never trailed, but after grabbing an early 7-2 lead, the Lady Tigers could not shake the Lady Bombers, leading 25-18 at halftime. All that changed in the third quarter, when Central outscored Mountain Home 25-1 to take a 50-19 lead into the final quarter.

Alaysia Ready led the Lady Tigers with 14 points, and Bre’Amber Scott scored 10, Kiara Williams had 9 and Sydni Williams added 8.

Cassie Martin led Mountain Home with 12 points. Micah Hudson added six.
