North Little Rock police arrested a man on Tuesday in the city's first murder in 2016.
Gary Anthony Smith, 60, of North Little Rock was arrested and charged with first-degree murder just after 7 p.m. in the stabbing death of Joseph Buchanan, 55, of North Little Rock, according to a department news release.
A neighbor found Buchanan's body inside his home the 2600 block of John Ashley Drive on Feb. 12 after he hadn't seen Buchanan for several days, police said.
Buchanan died from multiple stab wounds, the release said.
Smith was being held in the Pulaski County jail without bail Tuesday night.
