— Arkansas jumped on Mississippi Valley State early and never looked back.

The Razorbacks hit three home runs in their 21-4 rout of the Delta Devils in front of 873 fans on a rainy Tuesday afternoon.

Mississippi Valley State actually led 1-0 after half of an inning, thanks to an RBI single by Gabriel Waddell, but it didn't last long.

The first four Razorbacks in the first inning reached base and eventually scored. It was part of a four-hit, five-run inning in which Arkansas sent 10 players to the plate.

Arkansas repeated the feat in the second, scoring another five runs on four hits. That gave the Razorbacks a 10-1 lead.

Clark Eagan hit a two-run home run and Michael Bernal had a two-RBI double, while Luke Bonfield and Grant Koch each had an RBI single during the early onslaught of runs.

The Razorbacks added two-run homers by Bonfield and Austin Catron in the third and sixth innings, respectively.

All nine of Arkansas' starters reached base at least twice.

Freshman Isaiah Campbell started the game and gave up one run in two inning of work. He is credited with the win, but Arkansas used six pitchers, none of which went more than two innings.

The Razorbacks and Delta Devils are scheduled to play again Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3:04 p.m.
