Head-on crash kills 1, injures 4

A Yellville woman was killed and four others including two children were hurt in a head-on collision Sunday on U.S. 62 in Marion County, police said.

Betty Bogle, 67, died in the crash and Don Bogle, 66, who was driving the pair's Nissan Maxima, was injured, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Police said the wreck occurred when a Ford Contour crossed the center lane and struck the Maxima. The Contour driver, 30-year-old Sean Hull, 30, of Harrison, was also injured.

Two minors were also hurt in the crash. The report did not specify their ages or which vehicle they were in.

The accident occurred around 1:49 p.m. Sunday west of Yellville. Police described conditions at the time as clear and dry.

It was the 63rd fatal accident on Arkansas roads in 2016, according to police records.
