North Little Rock woman accused of running over 1, trying to run over others

A 23-year-old woman stands accused of running over another woman and trying to run over others on New Year's Eve in the parking lot of a North Little Rock apartment complex, according to police.

Whitney Jackson, of 2400 McCain Blvd. in North Little Rock, remained in the Pulaski County jail Friday after she was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and second-degree battery.

Officers responding to a report of a disturbance about 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lakewood Hills Apartments, where Jackson lives, spoke with a woman identified as Consuela Sanders, who said she was struck in the back by a vehicle. Though she declined medical treatment, Sanders complained of back pain and had a scratch and redness on her lower back, according to an arrest report.

Several witnesses told officers that someone driving the same vehicle tried to run over them in the parking lot, and all except one confirmed Sanders' account of getting hit, the report said.
