Illum-n-Broom

What's to love: If we have a winter with ice and snow, this four-in-one tool will help with removing that white stuff off the car.

What does it do: Dual lights help illuminate the task at hand. The lights can also be set to blinker mode and used as emergency warning lights. There is an ice scraper on one end of the telescoping pole, which has a foam grip handle. On the other end is a nonabrasive foam head that allows the user to push snow off vehicles without damaging paint or glass. The snow and ice tool, made by Snow Joe, sells for $29.99.

The Reel-Quik Hitch

What's to love: A fast and easy way to hook a trailer to a vehicle.

What does it do: Trying to maneuver a vehicle in position to hook up a trailer can take a few tries, but the maker of this hitch says the user will get it on the first try with the Reel-Quik. The hitch has a mechanism that extends the hitch ball outward, allowing the user to position it right under the trailer coupler and then lock it in place. Next, the user cranks a gear that reels the hitch ball into towing position, where it is secured with locking pins. After attaching safety chains and the electrical connector, the user is good to go. The device, sold by Little Rock company Hitchrific, lists for $349.
