Running back Kyle Porter plans to officially visit Texas, Arkansas and TCU, according to Howard Chen of Fox 26 KRIV-TV in Houston.

He also reported Porter would only visit the three schools.

Porter, 5-11, 194, 4.4 of Katy, Texas rushed 235 times for 1,938 yards and 36 touchdowns this past season while leading the Tigers to a state title.

ESPN rates him the No. 16 running back and No. 263 overall prospect in the nation, He rushed 147 times for 1,006 yards and 17 touchdowns while having 34 receptions for 276 yards and 5 touchdowns as a junior.

As a sophomore, Porter had 1,877 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on 255 carries and was named the District 19-5A Co-Newcomer of the Year. He’s being recruited by defensive backs coach Clay Jennings and running backs coach Jemal Singleton.

Arkansas tight end commitment Grayson Gunter, 6-5, 218, 4.58 of Madison, (Miss.) Central said his rehab from shoulder surgery is a month ahead of schedule. He'll be cleared in five weeks to resume normal activity.

Running back, Devin White will announce his college decision Friday at 2.

White, 6-0. 258, 4.47 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Springhill, (La.) North Webster will choose from Arkansas, LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss or Florida State.

Linebacker Giovanni LaFrance, 6-1, 239, 4.80 of St Augustine High School in New Orleans said he's been talking to the Arkansas coaching staff. He was committed to Tulane, but reopened his recruiting in December.

He has several other offers from Louisville, Utah, Arizona State, California, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.

Texas Tech linebacker commitment Jordyn Brooks of Houston Stratford said he will not make an official visit to Arkansas. The Hogs offered him in October and it appeared he would visit.
