ROGERS -- The School District has scheduled a series of meetings with numerous stakeholder groups to solicit input on the search for the next superintendent.
All of the meetings will be between Tuesday and Thursday. Two meetings are intended for the general public, including one Tuesday at Rogers High School and one Thursday at Heritage High School. Both meetings start at 6 p.m.
Ray and Associates, the firm hired by the School Board to assist in the superintendent search, will collect input from the meetings and present its findings to the board.
Superintendent Janie Darr announced last month her intention to retire at the end of June. The board hopes to hire a new superintendent by mid-April.
The following is a complete schedule of the stakeholder input meetings.
Tuesday
• 2:30 to 3:15 p.m.: Higher Education representatives from local colleges and universities, Northwest Arkansas Community College's Becky Paneitz Student Center, room 108
• 4:15 to 5 p.m.: Teachers from the Rogers High School feeder pattern, Rogers High School auditorium
• 6 to 7 p.m.: Community meeting, Rogers High School auditorium
Wednesday
• 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.: Rogers secondary principals, Rogers School District Administration Building board room, 500 W. Walnut St.
• 9 to 9:45 a.m.: Rogers schools central office personnel, Administration Building board room
• 10 to 10:45 a.m.: Rogers schools central office personnel, Administration Building board room
• Noon to 12:45 p.m.: Public Education Foundation and Parents and Administrators Coming Together (PACT), Professional Development Center, 2922 S. First St.
• 2 to 2:45 p.m.: Rogers High School student senate, Rogers High School lecture hall
• 4 to 4:45 p.m.: School District support staff (such as custodians, food service, bus drivers), Administration Building board room
Thursday
• 8 to 8:45 a.m.: Elementary school principals, Administration Building board room
• 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.: Heritage High School student council, Heritage High School, Room B107
• 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.: Secondary assistant principals, Administration Building board room
