Hogs land another preferred walk-on prospect

Benton linebacker Ben Brasuell has committed to be a preferred walk-on at Arkansas.

Brasuell, 6-2, 217, 4.9 seconds in the 40 yard dash, recorded 102 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 3 quarterback hurries and 6 pass breakups as a senior.

He picked the Razorbacks over scholarship offers Army and Arkansas Tech while drawing interest from Louisiana Tech and Missouri.

"It feels like home up there, they treat everyone equally and the facility is the nicest in the nation and the coaching staff is awesome," said Brasuell of the Hogs. "Great fan base also."

He has a 305-pound bench press and 420-pound squat. He had about 73 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions and 6 recovered fumbles, including 2 returned for touchdowns, as a junior.

Tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. is his lead recruiter.
