2 women, man on motorcycle dead after 3 separate crashes

A Tennessee woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday in Crittenden County, and two other people died as a result of crashes last week, according to Arkansas State Police preliminary reports.

A 2002 Buick LeSabre was headed south on Arkansas 118 in Crittenden County at around 11:30 a.m. Monday when it failed to stop at a traffic sign and was hit by a 2013 Honda Civic going east on U.S. 64, police said.

Karen Hunt, 50, of Memphis was a passenger in the Civic and died from the crash, the report said. Joseph Hunt, 25, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Terry Hunt, 56, of Memphis were also in the Honda and were injured in the crash, according to the report.

The Buick driver, Pamela Lewis, 21, of Wynne was also injured in the crash, according to the report.

The weather was cloudy and and the road was dry, according to the report.

An Ozark woman died Friday after the car she was driving overturned during a crash in Franklin County the day before, according to a state police report released Tuesday.

On Thursday, Martha Ann Bloxham, 62, was driving west on U.S. 64 at 7:15 a.m. when she failed to turn on a curve and overcorrected, police said. Her 2004 Ford Explorer went off the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned, police said.

Bloxham was pronounced dead Friday at the UAMS Medical Center.

The weather was clear and the road was dry, according to the report.

Neil Branscum, 36, of Fox was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a deer at around 3:40 a.m., June 28 in Stone County, according to a state police report. Branscum was riding east on Herpel County Road when the deer ran out into the road and hit the front of his motorcycle.

State police said the weather was clear and the road was day.
