Arkansas senior offensive lineman Dan Skipper was named to the Outland Trophy’s preseason watch list Friday morning.

The trophy is awarded to the most outstanding interior lineman in college football each year. Skipper (6-10, 322) could play tackle or guard this fall.

Skipper had earned a number of preseason accolades prior to Friday. Lindy’s named him a second-team All-American, while Athlon included him on its third team. Both publications, along with ESPN, Phil Steele and the Sporting News, also named Skipper first-team All-SEC. Lindy’s named him the SEC’s Best Run Blocker.

This marks the second straight year Arkansas has had a lineman on the Outland watch list. Last year, Sebastian Tretola and Denver Kirkland made the cut.
