8 men charged in Little Rock prostitution sting

A sting with undercover police officers posing as prostitutes in south Little Rock led to solicitation charges against eight men last week, according to several police reports.

According to the reports, two undercover officers working with the Vice unit posed as prostitutes at separate locations near Interstate 30 and were offered money for various sexual acts by the men, who were both on foot and in cars.

The reports indicate the sting occurred between 11 a.m. and around 3 p.m. Thursday.

The eight men charged with solicitation were Rodnel Smith, 32, of Little Rock; Lamoris Lampkin, 26, of Little Rock; Ronald Cleary, 53, of Little Rock; Tony Strickland, 33, of Little Rock; Jeremy Smith, 40, of Conway; Brian Sweeney, 54, of Benton; Sammie Davis, 37, of Little Rock and Ramsey Eddington, 44, of Little Rock.

A ninth man, 21-year-old Brian Sample of Little Rock, was charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct after police said he drove repeatedly by one of the undercover officers, cursing at her and yelling that she was police.
