CROSSETT -- Two Crossett men face charges of capital murder and aggravated robbery after police say they fatally shot a woman during a burglary Sunday.
Carl L. Robinson, 20, and Davonta D. Morris, 18, were arrested and are being held in the Ashley County jail pending probable cause hearings, Police Chief Jay Cruce said in a news release.
The two are accused of killing Karen Sivek, 60, during a break-in at Sivek's home on the 600 block of West Eighth Avenue in Crossett. Cruce said police were called to the home at 4:30 a.m. Sunday in reference to a shooting.
Officers found Sivek dead inside the home. A 14-year-old girl, Sivek's granddaughter, was wounded by a shot to the neck.
