A shooting, a burglary and a domestic dispute at a south Pulaski County house sent five people to jail Friday, according to reports from county sheriff's office.

Deputies were called to a shooting at 5200 Southern Belle Drive on Friday morning and found Austin Stephenson, 51, with a gunshot wound in the leg, according to a report. He was transported to UAMS Medical Center.

Kellie Knipe, 48, who used to live with Stephenson, told Pulaski County investigators she and her son, Arron Arzt, 22, went to the residence to retrieve her property before the shooting.

Knipe told investigators Stephenson would not let her in, but instead he threw white clothes outside along with her carpet-cleaning machine.

The two began arguing and Stephenson grabbed her by the arms, forced her against the porch railing, Knipe told authorities.

According to the sheriff's office, when Knipe's son, Artz, got out of the vehicle carrying a gun, Stephenson grabbed Knipe by the throat. Stephenson was then shot, according to the sheriff's office.

Later that morning, Stephenson called 911 after he returned from the hospital and said he found Knipe, Arzt, Knipe's sister Glenda George, and Sabra Tucker, 19, inside the house, loading food into a blue plastic tote.

The four, who already had loaded Knipe's belongings from the residence into her vehicle, drove away from the house but were stopped by deputies, according to the report.

Deputies who searched the vehicle Knipe was riding in reported finding suspected methamphetamine in her purse, according to the report.

During a search of the Chevrolet Silverado that Arzt and Tucker were seen riding in, deputies reported finding a glass pipe with small amount of what they suspected was marijuana in the bowl, according to the report.

Stephenson was arrested and charged with domestic battery over the earlier incident, according to the report.

Deputies charged Knipe with residential burglary, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arzt was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and residential burglary.

Tucker and George were charged with residential burglary, according to the report.

All five were listed on Pulaski County jail's inmate roster Friday evening.
