Museum to screen Hell Below episode

A public screening of the Smithsonian Channel's new series, Hell Below, will be at the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12.

Seating will be limited so reservations must be made by Aug. 11 to rsvp@aimmuseum.org. Refreshments will be available.

The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, home to the World War II-era Razorback submarine, is the only location in Arkansas chosen so far to screen the series, according to a museum news release.

Hell Below is an event-based series charting the stealth game of submarine patrols, according to the Smithsonian Channel information. The episode to be shown is "America Fights Back," about the USS Wahoo submarine during its third war patrol. The wartime action is recommended for ages 9 and up, according to the news release.

The Inland Maritime Museum is on the Arkansas River at 120 Riverfront Park Drive, just east of the Main Street Bridge.
