SPRINGDALE — A Madison County man was arrested Sunday after police say he kidnapped a woman pregnant with his child and held her against her will.

David Guerin, 31, of Witter was arrested Sunday in connection with kidnapping, third-degree domestic battery and first-degree terroristic threatening, all felonies, according to a preliminary arrest report.

Guerin also faces charges of misdemeanor second-degree domestic assault.

Dalila Jimenez called police about 12:03 p.m. Saturday and said "he's going to kill me" before the phone was disconnected, according to a news release from Springdale police.

Police plotted the call to an area around Caudle Avenue in Springdale, where Jimenez's family told them that she possibly was with Guerin. Soon after, Jimenez, 21, called police again and told them she was inside a bathroom of a Bentonville pawn shop, the release said.

Bentonville officers located a vehicle matching the one Guerin was driving, where they found Jimenez inside, the release said. Jimenez told officers she had been abducted from a store in Springdale after she ran into Guerin.

Jimenez, who is eight months pregnant, said Guerin forced her into the passenger seat and threatened to break her legs when she fought back, the release said. Jimenez said Guerin pulled her hair and pushed her face with his fist while he was driving, telling her not to make a scene.

After making several stops -- including one in Pineville, Mo., -- Guerin returned to Bentonville hoping to pawn Jimenez's ring and she was able to call for help, the release said.

According to police, Guerin has a history of violence toward Jimenez.

Guerin was being held Sunday at the Washington County Detention Center on a partial bond of $50,000.
