Washington County Restaurant Inspections

Information is from state Health Department records. Restaurants are listed in order of inspection date. All reports are from regular food service inspections unless otherwise noted. Critical violations are defined as items relating directly to factors that lead to food-borne illness and must be corrected immediately. Noncritical violations are defined as items that relate to maintenance of food operations and cleanliness.

Multiple potentially hazardous foods in make-table cooler at 56-71 degrees; must ensure potentially hazardous foods are held at 41 degrees or below for safe cold-holding (corrected by voluntary discard). Multiple potentially hazardous foods in upright cooler at 49-52 degrees; must ensure potentially hazardous foods are held at 41 degrees or below for safe cold holding (corrected by voluntary discard of affected foods and rapid chill of foods made within last two hours). Multiple containers of pre-cooked potentially hazardous foods in cooling units, held over 24 hours, found without proper labeling of make/open/discard dates; must label all potentially hazardous, ready-to-eat foods with open/make date and discard within seven days (corrected). Three units of equipment used for cooling and cold holding potentially hazardous foods found holding at ambient air temperatures greater than 50 degrees; must ensure coolers are sufficient in number and capacity to provide food temperature in accordance with rules and regulations.

Noncritical violations: Multiple large packages of raw beef and pork observed thawing at room temperature on counters by three-compartment sinks; time control for safety foods shall be thawed using an approved method (corrected by education and demonstration of proper thawing). Vent hood flashing over cooking equipment has grease and debris residue buildup, nearly dripping and door handles of cooling/freezing units have much food and grease residues and debris buildup; must ensure nonfood contact surfaces of food equipment are cleaned and sanitized frequently and effectively to prevent incidental contamination.
