Construction on the on-ramp taking traffic from Arkansas 59 to Interstate 540 northbound in Van Buren will require a lane closure tonight, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
The ramp at Exit 3 will be closed between 9 p.m. today and 6 a.m. Wednesday. The closure only affects traffic traveling to northbound I-540 by way of Arkansas 59.
Motorists will be directed by signage to follow the detour route, which will take motorists south across the bridge over the Arkansas River to Kelly Highway, where they can access I-540 north, the department said.
