An 82-year-old woman was found dead Wednesday night when authorities responded to a mobile home fire on Washington County Road 2187, according to a post on the Washington County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
The woman was identified as Mary Carpenter.
The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation, according to the post. Carpenter's body will be sent to the state Crime Lab to determine cause of death.
